Crown Dress Code - Modesty Guidelines
To ensure a respectful and elegant atmosphere at Crown dances, we ask that all attendees adhere to the following modest dress code:
Dresses should have appropriate coverage, avoiding excessively low necklines, open backs, or sheer materials in areas that require coverage. Please choose dresses with no cleavage, no midriff or low-back showing. Outfits should not be excessively tight or have a revealing fit.
*NEW RULE* Skirt length should be at or below the knee when standing. Slits should be modest and not extend above the knee when standing
Strapless dresses, spaghetti straps, and off-the-shoulder styles should be worn with a modest covering, such as a shawl or bolero. It's a great idea to always have a jacket or shawl with you.
Suits and tuxedos should be worn with a dress shirt and tie. Jackets are encouraged for a formal look.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in creating a classy and comfortable environment for all attendees. If you have any questions about your outfit, feel free to seek pre-approval from the Crown Board.
If the dress code is pushing the boundaries, the parent will be contacted to provide a change of clothes. This may be in the middle of the dance, so getting pre-approval is a great idea if you are unsure about an outfit.
Below are some examples that do NOT follow the Crown dress code:
*NEW RULE* This dress is too short as it does not touch the knees. This dress is also low-cut and form-fitting.
*NEW RULE* This slit is too high. Slits and short dresses must touch knees when standing.
This dress is too low-cut. Cleavage should not be showing.
This dress is too low-cut in the back. Dress should cover the entire lower back.
This dress is too form fitting.
This dress needs a shawl or jacket to cover bare shoulders. It is also low-cut.
Collared shirts and slacks should be worn. No jeans, sandals, flip-flops or T-shirts.

Parents, students, and guests are responsible for reviewing and understanding Crown’s Dress Code and Code of Conduct prior to attending the dance. We appreciate your cooperation as we guide our children in recognizing that both their behavior and modest dress honor Christ. These choices are a meaningful way to show love and consideration for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
